Off the electrical grid on the southern end of Mexico’s Riviera Maya lies the beach town of Tulum. Tulum has been on my “must visit” list for a few years, which is why I’m so excited to finally visit this tropical paradise in April.
Crystal blue waters and white sand beaches. Bright and playful patterns. An abundance of fruit, vegetables and fresh seafood at every meal. Basically, heaven.
I usually prefer my vacations to have a bit more substance than lounging on the beach (as enjoyable as that is), which is why Tulum seems like the perfect getaway destination. As part of our trip, we’re already planning explorations to the Tulum and Coba Ruins, as well as Cenotes in the area. Counting down the days until it’s time to spend a week adventuring in this beach meets jungle locale.
