Bavaria. Just saying the name of Germany’s largest state conjures images of castles, dense forests, lively cities and somber work camp remains.
Located in southern German, bordering the countries of Austria, Switzerland and Czech Republic, Bavaria is popular with travelers for its stunning natural scenery, small medieval towns and vibrant cities.
Next month, I’m heading to the capital of Bavaria, Munich, for a week to celebrate Oktoberfest. We’re planning on indulging in the festivities, but also spending a few days exploring Bavaria. We haven’t nailed down our exact plans yet, but with picturesque cities and so much more to do in Munich than drink steins of beer, I know we’re guaranteed a good time.
