The Ultimate Guide to Four Days in Tokyo

June 27, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Tokyo. Hustle and bustle, quirky shops, an abundance of cute toys and things, and seafood and ramen at every turn. The city is massive- a sprawling metropolis. For as large as it is though, there's an orderliness to it that I've never experienced elsewhere. Streets are clean, sidewalks kept immaculate and everyone is polite. Four … Continue reading The Ultimate Guide to Four Days in Tokyo

5 Must-Sees in Kyoto, Japan

June 20, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

It's impossible to not fall in love with Japan. Kyoto, in particular, is beautiful. It's a place where modernity mixes with traditional culture. Tokyo has long been on my travel list, and after seeing photos of Kyoto from friends who've travelled there recently, I knew I had to spend a few days there. Everything in … Continue reading 5 Must-Sees in Kyoto, Japan

The Coolest Weekend Guide to Marfa, Texas

March 13, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

There’s a quote floating around about Marfa that I couldn’t agree more with: A place tough to get to. Tougher to explain. But once you get there, you get it.  Marfa is the stuff small town life dreams are made of. Wide-open spaces. No stoplights, seriously, not even one- there's a blinking 'caution' light in the … Continue reading The Coolest Weekend Guide to Marfa, Texas

48 Hours in Edinburgh

February 7, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Edinburgh is a gorgeous city, full of history and charm. With cobbled streets, medieval stone buildings, pubs tucked below street level on every other corner, and some seriously good cocktail bars, you’re pretty much guaranteed a good time. I hadn’t planned on Edinburgh being my first trip after arriving in the UK. But, a flight deal … Continue reading 48 Hours in Edinburgh

10 Things To Do In Munich

January 20, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / 2 Comments

I didn't have too many expectations before traveling to Germany. That’s not to say I didn’t think I’d like it, but it didn’t rank as high as other European countries on my travel list. After a few days in Berlin and Munich though, I found myself asking why Germany wasn't higher on my travel list. Munich, especially, … Continue reading 10 Things To Do In Munich

48 Hours in Berlin

December 13, 2016August 22, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

At first, Berlin was a stop-over city for us. While planning a trip to Oktoberfest, I wanted to see another city in Europe, but it had to be one that was a short flight from Munich, and ideally nearby Amsterdam. Berlin just so happened to fit the geographic bill. Prior to visiting, I'd heard mixed … Continue reading 48 Hours in Berlin

10 Reasons to Spend a Weekend in Philadelphia

December 8, 2016August 22, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Growing up outside of Pittsburgh, I knew Philadelphia as a city rich with American history and home to rival sports teams (#GoSteelers!). It wasn't until I moved to New York that I started spending weekends in Philadelphia, first for races and then because I enjoyed the city so much I wanted to explore more of it. … Continue reading 10 Reasons to Spend a Weekend in Philadelphia

London: City Guide

November 8, 2016August 22, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Every time I visit London, I find it more beautiful and interesting. Full of iconic buildings and historic landmarks, there’s a timeless, yet energetic, vibe. Like any major city, there’s no shortage of ways to fill your time. If it’s your first time traveling to London and you only have a few days to see … Continue reading London: City Guide

Weekend Getaway: San Francisco

June 23, 2016August 23, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

“San Francisco has only one drawback—‘tis hard to leave.” -Rudyard Kipling San Francisco is the kind of city that never gets old, no matter how many times you visit, because there's always something new to do or explore. Having been to San Francisco a few times, I have my go-to recos for things to do or … Continue reading Weekend Getaway: San Francisco

Weekend Getaway: San Diego

June 6, 2016August 23, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

A few summers ago, I found myself in San Diego for a weekend as part of a week-long California road trip. If you're looking for California sunshine and great Mexican food, there's no better place than San Diego. San Diego is the kind of destination you want to spend more than a few days relaxing, but if … Continue reading Weekend Getaway: San Diego

Autumn weekend in Edinburgh, these are a few of my favourite things edition:
Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year to visit Scotland 🍂
To me, you are perfect ✨
Mallorca’s mountain towns are just the best.
One of Mallorca’s most visited hilltop villages, Valldemossa is winding, cobbled alleyways with the Tramuntana Mountains looming.
With the east side of Mallorca being known for its beautiful beaches, natch had to spend a day experiencing three of them.
