The Best & Worst of 2018 Travels

January 15, 2019January 14, 2019 / Yale Wanders / 3 Comments

In 2017, I wrote about the biggest travel mistakes I made over the course of the year, and also picked the top 10 destinations I traveled to. Why share the biggest mistakes I made?  With travel, much like life, we learn lessons along the way. Making mistakes and learning from them is part of life, … Continue reading The Best & Worst of 2018 Travels

Looking Back at 2018

January 4, 2019January 4, 2019 / Yale Wanders / 2 Comments

If last year I thought 2017 was one for the record books, I really had no idea what was in store for 2018. Looking back at the headline I wrote to summarise 2017, it's hard to even imagine how a year following it could compare. 2017 was one hell of a year. 1 international move, … Continue reading Looking Back at 2018

#Take12Trips: August + September

October 22, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

After a pretty low key June and July, August and September felt crazy busy. With a few long weekend trips, as well as city breaks, spread over both months, the weeks flew by. October's also set to be a busy month- I'm taking my first extended chunk of time off this year- spending a few … Continue reading #Take12Trips: August + September

#Take12Trips: July

August 7, 2018August 5, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

In last month's recap, I said I'd be laying low in London throughout July - awaiting passport delivery (finally received!), and beginning to map out a few trips for autumn. With summer in full swing and the UK enduring what seems like a never ending heatwave, July was all about keeping things simple - nights … Continue reading #Take12Trips: July

#Take12Trips: June

July 10, 2018July 4, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Summertime fine. Two words that completely summarise how I'm feeling these days. Longer days, warmer weather (hello heatwave in the UK) and blue skies are enough to charm just about anyone. Even though I prefer cloudy/misty weather and fall as a season, even I can't help but admit summertime in London is pretty great. The … Continue reading #Take12Trips: June

#Take12Trips: April + May

June 2, 2018June 2, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Remember that time I wrote a monthly recap for March before the month was even over because I was so ahead on posts? No denying that's no longer the case. With an April where I was traveling outside the country or to different parts of England every weekend, and a May that saw similar levels … Continue reading #Take12Trips: April + May

#Take12Trips: March

April 10, 2018April 9, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Typically, I don't start my 'monthly recaps' until the aforementioned month is over and I remember I need to write a #Take12Trips post. Which, is why it feels strange to be penning this one on the last day of March- even though the month is almost over. On this particular Saturday, I'm cruising in Norway … Continue reading #Take12Trips: March

#Take12Trips: February

March 1, 2018March 3, 2018 / Yale Wanders / 1 Comment

February was a tough month. There was so much happening at work, that if I wasn't at work on the weekends, I found myself simply too exhausted to do a day trip somewhere in the UK. And, during the week- I started getting back into a workout routine (mix of boxing, CrossFit, running), which meant … Continue reading #Take12Trips: February

#Take12Trips: January

February 8, 2018March 3, 2018 / Yale Wanders / 2 Comments

A new year, a new slew of adventures ahead for #Take12Trips. What is #Take12Trips? #Take12Trips in 2018 is a continuation of the only resolution I made in 2016- a promise to commit to doing something once a month. Anything counts- it can be dinner at a new place, visiting a new museum or spending the weekend at a … Continue reading #Take12Trips: January

Looking Back: 2017 #Take12Trips

January 8, 2018February 4, 2018 / Yale Wanders / 2 Comments

1 international move, 1 new flat, 17 countries, 31 cities, 33 flights, 21 trains, 3 new tattoos, 1 half marathon, 96 blog posts and infinite venti cold brews. 2017, you were one for the record books. I’m not usually one for New Year’s resolutions- I believe you can start making a change any day of the … Continue reading Looking Back: 2017 #Take12Trips

Talking about Idaho, I once heard someone say the entire stay should be a national park. Even though I only drove around a small fraction of it, I saw enough to understand it’s *gorgeous*
Sunny highlights from two summer jaunts to Seattle: Lake life, a market bursting with vibrant flowers, iced coffee among the evergreens, the *best* doughnuts, a lil backyard splish splash, and mornings dancing at Cap Hill cafes.
Holiday mems: A lot of snow, freezing temps, mulled wine set aflame, no photos from a week of relaxation all day every day, a New Year’s feast, an early January birthday, and a trio of dogs, one of whom we miss very much 🤍
Occasionally, I enjoy spending time among yinzers 🫶
Art that forces self-obliteration 👌
January moments that felt like love.
