#Take12Trips: March

April 13, 2017April 9, 2017 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

I feel as though I was barely in London during March- this month's activities have me questioning where the time went. I kicked off the month with a week in Austin and Marfa, Texas. I'll always love Austin, but y'all- Marfa really took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting to fall so hard for a west Texas … Continue reading #Take12Trips: March

Where to Eat & Drink in Austin

March 21, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

I first visited Austin six years ago when I lived there for a few months while doing a summer internship. Before moving there, I wasn't sure what to expect. After only a few days in the city though, I started falling hard for Austin. So hard, that it's become one of my three favourite places … Continue reading Where to Eat & Drink in Austin

Staying in an Airstream at El Cosmico

March 15, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

America is home to some of the most beautiful places and exciting cities in the world. 48 hours in the desert town of Marfa was all it took to develop a major crush on West Texas. Marfa is the stuff small town dreams are made of. Wide-open Texas sky. No stoplights (only a blinking traffic … Continue reading Staying in an Airstream at El Cosmico

Photo Diary: Austin & Marfa

March 14, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

If there was ever a post where starting with 'Y'all' was appropriate, this is the one- Y'ALL. I finally, finally made it back to Austin during the first week in March. In case you didn't know, I lived in Austin for a few summer months six years ago. Even though I was only there for … Continue reading Photo Diary: Austin & Marfa

The Coolest Weekend Guide to Marfa, Texas

March 13, 2017August 17, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

There’s a quote floating around about Marfa that I couldn’t agree more with: A place tough to get to. Tougher to explain. But once you get there, you get it.  Marfa is the stuff small town life dreams are made of. Wide-open spaces. No stoplights, seriously, not even one- there's a blinking 'caution' light in the … Continue reading The Coolest Weekend Guide to Marfa, Texas

Travel Crush: Marfa

March 15, 2016May 4, 2019 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Saying Marfa is off the beaten path would be an understatement. Roughly 200 miles of drive time from nearby airports, it's truly off the beaten path in the southwest.  Located in the middle of nowhere Texas, Marfa moves at its own pace- stores are open when they want to be. Marfa's remoteness is the perfect cure for those who … Continue reading Travel Crush: Marfa

The American Southwest is something else- otherworldly Martian-esque landscapes, beautiful national parks, empty stretches of road, and stunning sunsets 😍
Not ashamed to say I cried at the first Grand Canyon viewpoint, it’s magnificent.
When places are just as spectacular as you hope they’ll be 🙌
#WowUtah moments:
One of my favourite hikes, ever: Traversing a canyon via river, with prickly pear lemonade as a post-adventure treat.
Bryce is truly one of the most memorable stops on any Southwest road trip.
