Seaside in Whitstable

May 17, 2018August 5, 2020 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

A few weeks ago, in the mood for a day trip, a friend asked if I'd like to go to Whitstable. Of course the answer was yes. Whitstable in Kent has been on my day trip radar since another friend went last summer and raved about the fresh oysters. My first exposure to British seaside … Continue reading Seaside in Whitstable

The Best of Rotterdam in One Day

May 15, 2018April 28, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

During a recent weekend trip to The Netherlands, my first priority was to see the flower fields. Second to that, I was keen to explore more of the country. On past trips, I've spent most of my time in and around Amsterdam. This trip, after cycling through the Dutch countryside, I headed to Rotterdam for a … Continue reading The Best of Rotterdam in One Day

Spring in the Netherlands

May 1, 2018August 5, 2020 / Yale Wanders / 2 Comments

Some places are just better seen in spring. Warmer weather, greenery, flowers blooming, and less tourists than summer make many places in Europe better to visit in spring. One such place? The Netherlands. With charming windmills, colorful tulips, idyllic canals and warm days, spring is a great time to cruise the canals of Amsterdam, cycle … Continue reading Spring in the Netherlands

I've been to Amsterdam plenty of times- it's a city I … Continue reading Cycling Through Tulip Fields in Holland

Travel Crush: South Africa

January 30, 2018February 4, 2018 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

In 2017, I visited Asia for the first time- exploring Hong Kong, Tokyo, Kyoto and Macau. This year, I've set my sights on returning to Asia for a relaxing holiday in Bali, and venturing to a new continent- Africa. The first month of 2018 will take me to Morocco for a long weekend in Marrakesh. … Continue reading Travel Crush: South Africa

What. a. month. My sister visited for a week and a half in the beginning of the month, and it was truly a whirlwind trip. In 11 days, we traipsed about London, flew to Amsterdam and Dublin, and took the train to Paris. I loved showing my sister some of my favourite places, and discovering … Continue reading #Take12Trips: August

Looking Back at 2016

December 20, 2016May 4, 2019 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Looking back on this year, I'm beyond grateful for the travel opportunities I had to venture to new and familiar places on my own, and with people I love. Thinking back to the first time I planned a solo international trip in 2015, it seems crazy to think that's now the norm. I feel like … Continue reading Looking Back at 2016

Georgia’s Golden Isles, referring to St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Jekyll Island, may not be the tropical paradise you typically envision when you think of islands, but as barrier islands and protected reserves, there’s plenty to love about them.
