Where to Eat & Drink in Tulum

January 9, 2018January 12, 2021 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Just a few years ago, Tulum wasn’t even on the radar of many travelers. South of Cancún on Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, Tulum is far enough away from the Cancún craziness to be a haven for relaxation with fewer crowds and locally run hotels and restaurants. After spending a week in this beach meets jungle locale, I … Continue reading Where to Eat & Drink in Tulum

Visiting Cenotes in Tulum

May 2, 2017January 12, 2021 / Yale Wanders / 2 Comments

Pristine white sand beaches, Mayan ruins atop a cliff overlooking jade-green water, cenotes with clear, cool water, balmy breezes, luxurious spas with ancient rituals, rustic cabanas, and Mezcal bars with twinkling disco balls that signify the start of a night filled with dancing. Is it any wonder travelers have become so obsessed with Tulum? Just … Continue reading Visiting Cenotes in Tulum

Photos to Inspire a Tulum Trip

Why is everyone so obsessed with Tulum? Just a few years ago, Tulum wasn't even on many travelers' radars. South of Cancun on Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, Tulum is far enough away from the Cancun craziness to be a haven for relaxation. Not only is Tulum more laid back, but there are also fewer crowds and a … Continue reading Photos to Inspire a Tulum Trip

Looking Back at 2016

December 20, 2016May 4, 2019 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Looking back on this year, I'm beyond grateful for the travel opportunities I had to venture to new and familiar places on my own, and with people I love. Thinking back to the first time I planned a solo international trip in 2015, it seems crazy to think that's now the norm. I feel like … Continue reading Looking Back at 2016

The Ultimate Guide to a Week in Tulum

Just a few years ago, Tulum wasn't even on the radar of many travelers. South of Cancún on Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, Tulum is far enough away from the Cancún craziness to be a haven for relaxation with fewer crowds, locally run, idyllic hotels and bangin' restaurants.  After spending a week in this beach meets jungle … Continue reading The Ultimate Guide to a Week in Tulum

#Take12Trips: April

May 1, 2016November 29, 2016 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

After a few weekend trips (Philly for a race and Cape Cod for a wedding), and a vacation to Seattle and Tulum, I'm ready for a few weeks back in the city. As much as I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things, there's always anticipated comfort in coming home and getting back into a routine. This … Continue reading #Take12Trips: April

Travel Crush: Tulum

January 18, 2016November 3, 2016 / Yale Wanders / Leave a comment

Off the electrical grid on the southern end of Mexico's Riviera Maya lies the beach town of Tulum. Tulum has been on my "must visit" list for a few years, which is why I'm so excited to finally visit this tropical paradise in April. Crystal blue waters and white sand beaches. Bright and playful patterns. An abundance … Continue reading Travel Crush: Tulum

Sunrise is one of the most beautiful parts of the day in the desert landscape.
💌 from Sedona: Hiking and walking gorgeous tails, all the healthy eats (hibiscus eggs!), sound baths, and refreshing prickly pear sorbet 🤍
Sedona is incredible, the entire city radiates positive vibes.
The American Southwest is something else- otherworldly Martian-esque landscapes, beautiful national parks, empty stretches of road, and stunning sunsets 😍
Not ashamed to say I cried at the first Grand Canyon viewpoint, it’s magnificent.
When places are just as spectacular as you hope they’ll be 🙌
